A new motor-road bridge over Amu-Darya river was constructed in the vicinity of Cholish kishlak in Urgench region. It connects Khoresm with Beruni town in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

A trunk road of republican significance, Nukus – Tashkent, and therefore the route to central regions to the country, goes across Beruni.

ВThe bridge length together with approaches makes about 800 meters. More than 30 meters width of the bridge allows movement of up to 1000 passenger and freight cars in four lines per hour. Currently the construction of the first stage of lines enabling a traffic flow in two lines is completed.

Construction of the bridge exactly in this place makes one of the stages of creation in the north-east of the country of transportation system aimed at acceleration of socio-economic development of the region.
